Self-Service Mobile app was designed as part of RightScale’s annual hackathon in 2015. You can try the prototype below, or open it in it’s own window here.
The biggest challenge in this project was deciding which information took priority in which views of the app. The usability study I had conducted for the changes to the CloudApp details page gave me enough insight into the needs of our users. Coupled with an awareness of the capabilities of the Android mobile OS, I quickly put together wireframes and an interactive prototype for an app that would allow Self-Service users to monitor the state of, and to perform basic actions on their CloudApps.
